Other commercial projects

Estancia Winery

Estancia had been producing wine in their Soledad facility with a cobbled together assemblage of miscellaneous sheds, outdoor storage areas, and inadequate facilities.  Terry, as project architect, designed a new master plan for the facility including a new crush pad, tank room, barrel storage building, and office building and tasting facility.  The concept was centered around improving the winemaking process resulting in an improved product (better wine!).

St. Helena Railroad Depot Restoration

The dilapidated depot was very close to collapsing and being demolished in the 1990s.  Terry was project architect for the restoration and conversion into an office building.  The project was awarded for its sensitivity to the historic fabric of the structure while adapting it to function as offices.

Dean & Deluca

Terry provided the design concept for converting an aging shopping center into this upscale showcase for food and wine.

Fetzer Administration Building

Terry was project architect for this sustainable office building that Fetzer Vineyards wanted to showcase its philosophy of environmental stewardship.  The walls are rammed earth, the roof framing was all recycled wood, the design uses extensive day-lighting with minimal needs for additional lighting and has solar photovoltaic panels to provide most of its energy needs.
